Billing

See your active plan, upgrade it, and manage payment and invoices through the Stripe billing portal

Settings → Billing shows which plan you're on and lets you change it. This page exists for personal accounts. Organization plans are managed by your organization's billing administrators.

See Your Current Plan

Your active plan appears at the top, together with the features it includes. If you've scheduled a cancellation or a plan change, the plan that takes over next is shown alongside it. Current plans and prices are on deutschlandgpt.de.

Individuals can choose Free, Pro and 5x Pro. 5x Pro gives you five times the monthly AI budget of Pro and is meant for heavy users. The earlier Basic and Premium plans are no longer sold. If you already have one of them, you keep it.

The smaller plans limit messages, images, web searches and uploads per day. The larger plans have no daily cap; there the monthly AI budget is what counts (see below).

Team features such as central user management, roles and groups, SSO, SCIM, your own logo or organisation-wide sharing are only part of an organisation plan (Business or Enterprise), never of a personal plan. To add colleagues you need a Business plan.

Upgrade Your Plan

Click Upgrade plan to open the plan selection and pick a higher plan. The button stays available even after you have cancelled, so you can still switch before your current plan ends.

Personal plans are mutually exclusive. When you switch, the old plan ends immediately, and its unused time is credited to your account and set against the new plan's invoices. You are not charged twice. After you cancel, you can keep using DeutschlandGPT until the end of the period you paid for.

Monthly AI Budget

Every plan includes a monthly AI budget that caps what the models you use may cost. It grows with the plan. You see how much of it you have used under Usage, always as a percentage. DeutschlandGPT does not show a euro amount for your plan's budget.

When you reach the budget, you are not cut off. DeutschlandGPT switches to budget mode: the low-cost budget models stay available until the month rolls over, and the more expensive ones disappear from the model picker. A short note above the shortened list says so. Automatic stays selectable and then answers with one of the cheaper models.

If your model picker suddenly shows only a few models, that is almost always budget mode, not a fault. You get the full selection back when the next month starts, or right away with a larger plan.

Manage Payment and Invoices

Under Manage plan, click Go to plan management to open the billing portal of our payment provider Stripe. There you change your payment method, see your invoices or cancel your plan.

Payment Methods

New subscriptions are paid by card or PayPal. SEPA Direct Debit is available on request: contact support, and it can be enabled for you. The billing page shows the same note.

If SEPA Direct Debit has been enabled for you, you enter your IBAN when you take out the subscription and authorize a direct debit mandate. A few things make a direct debit different from a card payment:

  • Collection takes 1 to 6 business days. Your access is active immediately regardless. You do not have to wait, and you should not pay a second time. While the debit is in progress this page shows "SEPA Direct Debit in progress".
  • If the debit is returned (insufficient funds, a closed account, a revoked mandate), you keep your access for now. You get an email naming your bank's actual reason and the date you have until, and this page shows the same notice. You can pay the outstanding invoice by card or provide new bank details. If it is still unpaid on that date, the subscription is cancelled. Your data is kept and you can subscribe again at any time.
  • Exceptions: the very first payment, and a reversed debit. If your first debit is returned before you have fully paid an invoice, or if your bank reverses a debit after it was collected, your paid plan is paused right away instead, and this page shows "Your direct debit failed — please update your payment method". This is not a suspension: your data stays. After a failed first debit, the plan comes back by itself as soon as the invoice is paid. A new direct debit restores it only once it has been collected, which takes several days; paying the open invoice by card from this page restores it at once. A reversed debit cannot be settled by paying again on its own: contact support so the amount can be collected again and the plan restored.

An existing card subscription cannot be switched to direct debit, and Platform API credits are card-only. A mandate cannot be edited: to use a different bank account, authorize a new mandate, which replaces the old one. The same applies after a mandate was revoked. For very large amounts (from roughly €10,000) direct debit is not technically possible.

Bought in the Mobile App?

In-app purchases are managed and cancelled in the App Store or Google Play, not in the Stripe portal. The billing page then shows your plan with a note pointing you there.
