What Counts Toward Your Budget
Which of your AI usage is charged to your monthly budget, and from when.
Your monthly AI budget is charged for everything DeutschlandGPT's AI does for you. Settings → AI Usage shows how much of it you have used.
What Is Charged
- Chat: every answer, including the steps a tool takes, summaries and chat titles.
- Images you generate.
- Web searches.
- Speech to text: whenever spoken audio is turned into text, for example voice input in the chat, dictation (including the cleanup of the dictated text) and audio files you upload.
- Reading aloud: when DeutschlandGPT reads an answer out to you.
- Text recognition (OCR): when text is read from a scanned document or image you upload.
Dictating feedback to us in the feedback dialog is never charged.
From When
Speech to text, reading aloud and text recognition count from the moment your organization switched to this billing. Usage from before then is not charged afterwards, not even within the same month.
Where You See It
Usage by model on Settings → AI Usage lists speech to text in minutes, reading aloud in characters and text recognition in pages, next to each one's share of your budget. The Cost per day chart includes them too.
