Where the desktop settings live, how they are grouped, and which of them apply to this device rather than your account
The desktop app keeps profile and settings in one window. Open it with Cmd/Ctrl+,, or through your avatar in the sidebar, or from the menu bar.
The left rail of that window has three blocks:

The settings groups
Appearance, zoom, interface language, version and updates.
Answer language, voice-input language, answer depth and the task list.
Your monthly consumption, daily limits and which models you used.
Which occasions reach you as a system notification, plus a test notification.
Every keyboard shortcut in the app, rebindable, including the system-wide ones.
Retention periods for conversations, transcripts and recordings, plus folder access.
Everything about dictating into other applications. Only visible if enabled for you.
Per device or per account
Some settings travel with your account and take effect in the browser and on every device. Others describe this installation and stay on it.

A setting that lives on this device is not synced. If you use DeutschlandGPT on a second computer, set it there as well.
What is missing here
Anything that concerns your whole organization, such as roles, groups, available models, single sign-on or billing, is managed in the browser under Organization. The desktop app deliberately does not duplicate those screens.
