Learning platform
Work through your assigned courses, look up glossary terms and complete required courses in the desktop app
The learning platform is also available inside the desktop app. You work through the same courses as in the browser, and your progress is shared between both. How courses, modules, knowledge questions and certificates work is described under Learning. This page covers what is specific to the app.
The entry appears once your organization has switched the learning platform on for the desktop app and your role may take courses. Creating and assigning courses stays in the browser.
Opening it
Choose Learning platform in the product switcher, or press Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+A. My courses lists the courses assigned to you, each with its status (Not started, In progress, Completed) and how many modules you have passed. Start course, Continue or Review opens it.
Working through a module
Modules open in the app with their videos, text, files and questions. Submit answers checks the questions and shows whether you passed. Next module takes you on. A module that depends on an earlier one stays locked until you have passed that one.
Inside a module, Ask a question sends a question to the course team. Rate this course asks for a rating from 1 to 10 and an optional comment.
A few things stay in the browser: a video can be opened there with Open in browser, and cross-references between courses are only shown in the web app.
Glossary
Glossary collects the terms from your courses with a short explanation, searchable by name or alias. A term can point to the module that covers it. If that module is still locked for you, the glossary says so.
Certificates
When you have passed every required module of a course, Download certificate saves your certificate.
Required courses
If your administrator has marked a course as required, the app asks you to complete it with Complete your required course and Go to the course. Depending on the setting you can postpone it a limited number of times with Skip for now, or you have to complete the course before you can keep using the app.
