Visitors never see your draft. They see the version you last published, so you can keep editing without breaking what is live.

Publish

Click Publish in the top bar. Publishing takes a snapshot of your current draft and freezes it into an immutable version. The embedded widget serves that version until you publish again. The Versions section shows which version is live and who published each one when.

Settings that protect your site or your budget, such as allowed domains, limits and the budget cap, are not part of a version. They apply the moment you change them. See Draft and live.

When publishing is refused

Publishing first checks whether the widget could actually work once live, and refuses if it could not. It names the reason and links to where it is fixed. That is deliberate: a widget that is published but cannot appear anywhere, or cannot answer, looks exactly like a working one from your side.

For the first three you can choose Publish anyway when you know the reason, for instance because you are about to add the domain. The last two have to be fixed; there is no honest "anyway" for them.

Restore an earlier version

To undo a change that is already live, open Versions and click Restore next to an earlier version. The widget on your website serves that version immediately. Your current draft is kept and is not affected.
