Admin reminders
Reminders to your organization's administrators, by email or in the app, and how to turn them off, pause them or create your own
Admin reminders are short notes to your organization's administrators, for example to check a setting or the member list. Some are recommended by DeutschlandGPT, others you create yourself. You find them under Organization settings → General → Admin reminders. You need the permission Manage organization settings.
Where reminders appear
- In the app: a bell next to the "?" at the bottom of the sidebar shows how many reminders are new. Opening it marks them as read for you; other administrators keep their own read state.
- By email: to the recipients set under Notifications in the row Admin reminders. Without a choice there, all administrators receive them.
Reminder emails are system emails. They are also sent when your organization has switched email sending off. In an organization in professional-secrecy mode, the email for a reminder you created yourself only contains a notice and the link, not your text.
The page
| Part | What you do there |
|---|---|
| Open | The reminders that are due now: open the linked setting, mark as Done, pause or hide them |
| All reminders | Every reminder that applies to your organization, with schedule and status, and its delivery |
| Delivery | The default for all reminders: Email and in the app, Only in the app or Off |
Turn off, Don't show until … and Never show again apply to all administrators of your organization, and each change is recorded in the audit log. Show again undoes them.
A reminder whose reason no longer applies disappears by itself. The recommendation to require a second factor, for example, ends as soon as your organization requires it.
Recommendation for professional-secrecy mode
For organizations in professional-secrecy mode that sign in with a password, we recommend requiring a second factor for all members. The recommendation appears as a reminder once a month and on the Professional secrecy (§203) page. The button there leads to the switch under Sign-in & SSO. Organizations in professional-secrecy mode that sign in through single sign-on get the same monthly recommendation, with one difference: the second factor is set at your identity provider (for example Microsoft Entra ID or Google), not here, so the reminder and the card name your provider where we can tell which one it is and have no button. We cannot see whether your provider already requires a second factor. If it does, choose "Never show again" on the reminder.
Create your own reminder
Click Create reminder, enter a title and a text, optionally choose the section of the organization settings the reminder should open, and choose when it is due: once on a date, or every few days, weeks or months.
